Dal Shabet at NTU Fest 2015: Pretty and perfect in pink

It’s been four long years since Dal Shabet last visited Singapore, but it seems we’ve made a huge impression on these girls. The six members were clearly thrilled by the crowd and screaming fans when they graced the stage of NTU Fest 2015 at The Promontory@Marina Bay on August 29. They seemed genuinely happy to be back – soaking up the concert’s jovial atmosphere when they appeared as the star act of the night.

Dressed in girlish frilly white shirts and hot pink pants, Serri, Ah Young, Jiyul, Woohee, GaEun and Subi performed hits like B.B.B (Big Baby Baby), ‘Hate, Don’t Hate’, ‘SUPA DUPA DIVA’, ‘Mr. Bang Bang’, as well as latest single, ‘JOKER’, released earlier this year. Certainly a treat for all Dal Shabet fans!

We were enamoured from start to end while the girls were on stage, whether it was by Su Bin and Ga Euns’s never-ending legs (they are 1.75m and 1.72m respectively!), or by Jiyul’s banter in English with the audience (too cute!), or just the members being absolutely adorable.

Despite the evening’s especially windy weather, which caused the members’  hair to get in their faces while they were dancing, the girls displayed total professionalism and carried off their choreography without a hitch.

If there was any doubt on whether or not Dal Shabet has a dedicated fan base here, the fan chants that were chorused in unison (in perfect Korean, no less!) during the songs were the perfect affirmation. Given the opportunity, we’re sure that Dal Shabet is more than raring to come back to Singapore for a full-fledged concert! Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Despite their short time on stage, the group definitely managed to make an impact that night. Check out more of of our photos from the night here:
